Food Safety Inspection Procedure for Imported Food in Ho Chi Minh City From 01/09/2026

On September 01, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Authority issued Notice No. 5431/TB-SATTP on receiving and handling administrative procedures for state inspection of imported food safety under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

1. HCMC Food Safety Authority to Receive 02 New Procedures

As of 00:00 on September 01, 2026, the HCMC Food Safety Authority officially began receiving and handling dossiers for state inspection of imported food safety under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. Specifically:

  • Regular inspection procedure (Administrative Procedure Code: 1.003814)
  • Strict inspection procedure (Administrative Procedure Code: 2.001604)

2. Channeling Online Dossier Submission by Product Origin

Enterprises should note that dossiers must be submitted entirely online via the national information portals according to the correct product group:

  • Food of plant origin: Submit dossiers via the National Single Window Portal – access address: vnsw.gov.vn.
  • Food of terrestrial animal and aquatic origin: Submit dossiers via the National Public Service Portal – access address: dichvucong.gov.vn.
