On August 29, 2025, the Import and Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) issued Official Letter No. 1010/XNK-NH regarding the registration and update of exporter information for textile and garment shipments to Mexico under the CPTPP.
Details are as follows:
To avoid the risk of denial of tariff preferences for consignments already granted a CPTPP Certificate of Origin (C/O Form CPTPP) in cases where the exporter has not registered or updated its information, the Import and Export Department requests that:
- Exporters of textile and garment products to Mexico must register and update their information in full, in accordance with Circular No. 07/2019/TT-BCT.
- C/O issuing authorities and organizations are responsible for guiding and urging enterprises to comply.
- The Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association shall coordinate to notify, update information, and issue alerts to enterprises.
