On September 29, 2025, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies of India (DGTR) announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation (AD) on solar packaging products originating from or importing from South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.

4. Product Description:
- Polymer-based components are used in the manufacturing of solar PV modules, which are used to encapsulate solar PV cells and perform adhesion and buffering functions.
- Manufactured by plastic extrusion technology. The polymer resin is mixed with several other additives and the composite material is subjected to heat and pressure to turn into a sheet. The additives used in the manufacture of these sheets include a cross-linking agent, adhesion enhancer, UV stabilizer, and several other essential materials to convey specific functions.

Deadline for submission : Within 30 days from the date of receipt of the notice of initiation
Note:
- If it fails to submit on time, DGTR may consider the enterprise uncooperative and use unfavorable data to calculate the dumping margin.
- Enterprises can request an extension of the response period by sending a letter requesting DGTR before the end of the period.

9. The Trade Remedies Department recommends:
- Reviewing the situation of exporting products under investigation to India
- Carefully study India’s anti-dumping investigation regulations
- Submit comments on products, PCN codes and related contents on time and in the right format
- Answering the Survey Questionnaire honestly, fully and on time
- Actively coordinate with the Department of Commercial Environment to receive timely information and support
