On April 7, 2026, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) – Ministry of Industry and Trade received information from the Vietnam Trade Office in Mexico regarding the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation by the Mexican Ministry of Economy into PET Plastic (Polyethylene Terephthalate resin originating from Vietnam and Malaysia.
Product under investigation: Polyester resin (PET – Polyethylene Terephthalate), having an intrinsic viscosity of 70 ml/g or greater, including mixtures of virgin PET resin with recycled or recovered PET, provided that the mixture meets the aforementioned viscosity requirements.

- Review the export status of this product to the Mexican market.
- Proactively coordinate and update information with the Trade Remedies Authority for timely support.
