On 17 July 2026, the Regional Customs Sub-Department of Region II issued Decision No. 1507/QD-HQKV2 on the establishment of a Working Group to implement the centralized customs clearance model, with the participation of the leadership and representatives of its subordinate units.
* The Regional Customs Sub-Department of Region II was established on the basis of the rearrangement and reorganization comprising the former Customs Sub-Departments previously located within the area within Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the Working Group carries out the following tasks:
- The Working Group acts as the key “advisory body”, assisting the Sub-Department leadership in developing the roadmap and operating plan for the new clearance model, ensuring it is practical and compliant with legal regulations.
- Inspecting and thoroughly preparing the infrastructure, equipment, information technology and human resources to be ready for centralized operation.
- Being responsible for monitoring, urging and promptly resolving any arising issues, while coordinating with relevant units to ensure the progress of the work.
On the implementation team: Under the direction of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (Deputy Head of the Sub-Department) as Group Leader, together with 3 Deputy Group Leaders and 31 members who are leaders of the relevant Teams and Professional Divisions.
On the implementation roadmap: The Working Group operates on a concurrent-duty basis, is overseen by the Sub-Department leadership, and will dissolve itself upon completion of its tasks.
Effective date: from 17 July 2026.
