Ministry of Industry and Trade Initiates Anti-Dumping Investigation on Clear Float Glass from Indonesia and Malaysia (Case Code: AD22)

On July 18, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2093/QD-BCT, officially initiating an anti-dumping investigation concerning the import of clear float glass products from Indonesia and Malaysia.  

1. Products subject to investigation: 

As stipulated in Article 1 of Decision No. 2093/QD-BCT, the subject goods are defined as:  

  • Certain clear float glass products originating from the Republic of Indonesia and Malaysia, classified under HS codes 7005.29.20 and 7005.29.90. 
  • Effective date: from July 18, 2025. 

2. Procedures following the initiation of the investigation:  

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will:  

  • Send investigation questionnaires to the relevant parties; 
  • Analyze and assess the allegations regarding: dumping behavior, injury to the domestic industry, and the causal relationship; 
  • Consider applying provisional measures if the preliminary findings indicate that dumping has caused injury; 
  • Conduct on-site verification of information provided by the parties; 
  • Organize public consultations before issuing the final determination.  

3. Recommendations from the Ministry of Industry and Trade:  

The Ministry recommends that organizations and individuals involved in the import, distribution, trading, or use of the investigated products should register as interested parties using the prescribed Interested Party Registration Form to ensure their rights and interests.  

  • Registration deadline: by the end of October 14, 2025
