The Customs Department Adjusts The National Management Area

After the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units, the Minister of Finance has just signed and issued Decision No. 2019/QD-BTC dated June 11, 2025. This Decision amends the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Customs Department compared to Decision 382/QD-BTC. Concrete: 

1. Major amendments to the functions and organization of the Customs Department 

  • The Director of the Customs Department shall prescribe the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Sub-Department of the Department after obtaining the opinions of the Ministry of Finance;  
  • The Director may also prescribe the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure (if any) of the Department’s Departments; units of the Sub-Department of the Department. 

2. The management area and head office shall be updated after the classification of provincial-level administrative units

Notes: 

  • The Customs Sub-Department of Region XV manages express customs in Ho Chi Minh City. 
  • The Customs Sub-Department of Region II and the Customs Sub-Department of Region XVIII do not manage Tan Son Nhat airport, Long Thanh airport and express customs in Ho Chi Minh City. 
  • The Sub-Departments shall not change the names of the localities and the names of the head offices: Regions II, III, VI, VIII, X, XI, XV, XVIII, XIX, XX.
