On December 19, 2025, the European Commission (EC) announced its preliminary findings in the anti-dumping investigation into polyethylene terephthalate (PET) products originating from Vietnam and imported into the European Union, indicating that no provisional anti-dumping measures are planned at this stage.
1.Main Content of the Announcement
The EC decided not to apply provisional anti-dumping duties on products within the scope of investigation (PET resin with a viscosity of 78 ml/g or higher, according to ISO Standard 1628-5, CN code 39076100)
2. Next Steps
Interested parties may submit comments on this announcement until January 22, 2026.
The investigation will continue and is expected to issue final conclusions in July 2026.
3. Recommendations from the Trade Remedies Authority
Enterprises need to continue comprehensive cooperation with the EC and regularly provide information to the Trade Remedies Authority to receive timely support.
