On July 11, 2025, the Customs Department issued Official Letter No. 13928/CHQ-GSQL on guiding labeling of goods imported into Vietnam.
Detailed instructions are as follows:
1. Required information on the original label of imported goods
Includes:
- Product Name
- Origin of goods
- The name or abbreviation of the organization or individual producing or the organization or individual responsible for goods in a foreign country.
Note: The content is expressed in a foreign language or Vietnamese.

2. Stipulating the contents shown on goods labels
- Organizations and individuals responsible for goods may display codes, barcodes, standard conformity marks, regulation conformity marks, and other contents (if any).
- The content further expressed must not be contrary to the law, must be honest and accurate, reflect the true nature of the goods, not obscure or falsify the mandatory content on the label.
