On December 30, 2025, the Authority of Civil Cryptography and Cryptographic Product Inspection issued Official Letter No. 586/MMDSKĐ-MMDS regarding the implementation of electronic export and import licenses for civil cryptographic products.
Details of the content are as follows:
- From January 1, 2026, the Government Cipher Committee will issue export and import licenses for civil cryptographic products in electronic form.
- Enterprises shall use these electronic licenses directly to carry out customs clearance procedures with the Customs authorities.
- Incident handling: In case the system encounters technical issues or Customs authorities require a paper license, enterprises should contact the Administrative Procedures Receiving and Processing Division – Authority of Civil Cryptography and Cryptographic Product Inspection via telephone number 024.32323313 for assistance.
